The NDA had a significant mandate that exceeded all other parties in Bihar, to which Amit Shah’s strategy was instrumental. He monitored every major political action for a total of nineteen days. Shah not only held continuous convenings among workers and back and forth some ground reports but also involved himself in tensions within the party. He provided the alliance with some stability.
At the general elections, approximately one-hundred BJP rebels were in-play and were working against the party. Shah independently provided counsel to each one of these actors with a view to getting them to put to one side their rebellion. With this, the tide turned, and NDA was in a better position in constituencies.
Shah also repaired bridges between JD(U) and the LJP(RV). Hostilities from the 2020 hosting had ruined relations, but to Shah’s credit, by 2023 he had managed to get coordination across parties back on track, enabling workers from their parties to canvass as a single bloc, and constructed a solid pro-incumebcy wave across Bihar.
Between September and November, Shah has also been attending rallies, spearheading roadshows and presiding over district meetings. Additionally, he has been getting workers re-engaged by centrering all of the messaging to PM Modi’s vision that generated confidence among his cadre, and brought them once again in front of voters across Bihar.
Nitish Kumar drafts an Inclusive cabinet
As a new government is getting ready to take oath on November 20, Nitish Kumar’s team has completed an enormous outline for a cabinet. Amit Shah and JP Nadda guided the process. The final structure – created after discussions with Amit Shah and JP Nadda. The cabinet will account for communities based on caste, geography, and political demands from allies.
Cabinet structure will reflect caste and regional assignment
The NDA’s new MLAs reflect significant communities in Bihar and, therefore, the cabinet will in fact mirror these numbers while ensuring to maintain social equilibrium. In fact, the BJP could use a speaker and two deputy chief ministers, then adjust the caste formula on the fly.
Alliance partners will get Ministerial Representation
Chirag Paswan is anticipated to receive a new role along the lines of two ministers. Similarly, Upendra Kushwaha is anticipated to receive a new role along the lines of one minister. Possible names include Raju Tiwari, Snehlata Kushwaha. There could also be an option to name a woman as Deputy Chief Minister.
Senior Leaders Expected to Maintain Their Positions
Some ministers who were part of the outgoing cabinet could be brought back. Nitin Naveen, Sanjay Sarawagi, Nitish Mishra and Vijay Kumar Mandal are among them from the BJP. JD(U) leaders, Shravan Kumar, and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary may also be brought back to the cabinet.
Ceremony Expected to be a Mega Event
The preparations ahead of the Oath Ceremony will feel like a festival. The NDA is preparing a mega event, preparing to welcome Prime Minister Modi to Bihar, along with senior Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers of some states.
