
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to BJP workers in New Delhi. Modi came to celebrate the NDA’s decisive victory in the Bihar assembly elections. Modi stated that Bihar’s voter base had created a new formula— M for Mahila (women) and Y for Youth – and pointed out that the formula defeated the opposition’s “communal M-Y formula.”
PM Praises Voters and the Election Commission
Modi praised the record voter turnout in Bihar – he stated that and high voter participation strengthened public faith in the election commission. He went on to add that the increase in participation of the exploited and deprived was significant. Modi argued that the Election Commission ensured credibility throughout the election process.
Modi then targets West Bengal, Modi indicated that he and the BJP’s goal would be to eliminate the “jungle raj” (jungle rule) from West Bengal. Modi said that the NDA’s victory in Bihar showed that a path existed to victory in Bengal, comparing the transition to the Gagndar (Ganges River) flowing from Bihar to Bengal. Modi also observed that the political momentum now favours the BJP in eastern India.
Severe Attack on Congress
Modi launched a stinging attack on the Congress party while also calling it the “Muslimleegi Maowadi Congress — MMC.” He predicted the party would soon see a significant rupture. He said some “naamdars” were destroying Congress’ very foundations.
‘Bihar Defeated Lies,’ He Claims
Modi said that Bihar made those attacking democracy “bite the dust.” He claimed that Bihar was the land of democracies with its love and pride of democracy. He said it was clear that lies die, while trust survives.
He emphasized that Bihar’s success was a brand new beginning for that state.
Promises of Development and Growth:
Modi promised some rapid growth to Bihar, in five years. He stated that new industries, investments, and jobs would appear soon. He also claimed that Bihar would show the world what they could do.

Modi praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, also congratulating him.
