Varanasi Celebrates PM Modi’s 75th Birthday with Rituals and Events
In Varanasi, Modi’s parliamentary constituency, the residents celebrated the day by performing Vedic rituals and social services. At Dashashwamedh Ghat, 108 scholars participated in a dugdhabhishek—a ceremonial milk offering — and prayed for Modi’s longevity, in hopes of national prosperity, addressed to the Ganga.
Devotees performed special prayers starting from the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Volunteers launched a city-wide sanitation drive. They distributed fruits and sweets at hospitals, orphanages, and elder citizen homes.. A large Ganga aarti happened in the evening at Namo Ghat.
