The Constitution of India was adopted in November 1949. The Constitution of India took effect on January 26, 1950, and in that moment India completed a transition from a subjugated nation to a sovereign Republic. The founding fathers of the Constitution chose this date symbolically because January 26, 1930 was the day that the Congress Party announced its intention to achieve absolute independence (Purna Swaraj). Thus, the January 26, 1950 date honors both the sacrifices of all the freedom fighters who died for India’s independence, as well as the declaration of the ideals of independence and republicanism.
Theme highlights history, culture, and national confidence
A visual representation of this journey is provided by the Republic Day parade. Military units represent India’s sovereignty and national security, while cultural floats exemplify Indian Unity through Diversity and contribute to the overall expression of pride in the Constitution. The Ministry of Defense hosts an annual celebration for our nation; therefore, activities will take place at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, India. This year’s theme is a commemoration of established 150 years since the publication of Vande Mataram.
This theme illustrates Indian culture’s rich heritage, as well as promoting confidence in India as a Nation. Performance Art, including Dance/Drama, will draw from the National Song, while verse-based works will appear along Kartavya Path. Chief guests and parade scale reflect global engagement

The involvement of these two leaders reflects the increasing number of international partnerships that India has developed. At least 10,000 people will be present as guests of honor. There will be farmers, heads of businesses, research scholars, and inventors among the honored guests. The army will demonstrate a battle formation. Many modern weapons systems will be featured in the parade.
The ceremonial flyby will mark the end of the Fly-past by the Air Force. Representatives from each state and the Government of India will be represented in the parade through 30 tableaux. Approximately 2,500 artists will participate in the celebrations. The organizers wish to showcase the heritage of India, and at the same time, reflect the future vision of the organizing committee.
