PM Modi Commends Navy During Diwali INS Vikrant Event
In remarks to Navy personnel, Modi commented on the unique coordination among the armed forces during Operation Sindoor and continued that, as a result, Pakistan is now forced to concede. He also praised the armed forces’ commitment to defeating Maoist terrorism, which he considered a significant achievement for India’s security and stability.

Onboard INS Vikrant: Demonstration and Celebration.
During his visit, Modi toured the flight deck of INS Vikrant with MiG-29K fighter jets and observed a day and night flight demonstration of the Navy’s operational preparedness. He also participated in a cultural programme, with one of the songs dedicated to the armed forces’ successful execution of Operation Sindoor.
In the evening, he handed out desserts and Diwali greetings to sailors and families while they enjoyed the customary Bara Khana dinner.

Yoga in the Morning and Naval Fly-Past
The following morning, Modi participated in a yoga session on board the ship, complete with a ceremonial steam-past and fly-past. He took the opportunity to greet Navy service members and thank them for their heroic work.

A Tradition of Respect and Service
Since 2014, PM Modi has spent Diwali with the Indian military—from Siachen and Kargil to Sir Creek and Rajouri—continuing his respect for those who protect the country.
